TEXA Enables OEM-Secure Gateway Access in IDC6 Software

TEXA announced it has expanded its IDC6 diagnostic software to support the OEM Secure Gateway (SGW) functionality across North America, enabling repair shops to access protected vehicle systems previously restricted to manufacturer tools. The SGW acts like a firewall, safeguarding on-board control units from unauthorized access.

To use the SGW-unlock features, technicians must have a compatible TEXA scan tool, an active IDC6 Car license, and a valid TEXPACK Car subscription. Also required are a registered AutoAuth account (for OEM authentication) and a myTEXA account configured with multi-factor authentication (via Google Authenticator) to gain secure access.

SGW support is already available for a range of newer model vehicles from Stellantis, Nissan, Infiniti, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Audi, among others. With this upgrade, shops can perform advanced diagnostics like clearing DTCs, component coding, calibrations, bi-directional tests, and other formerly OEM-locked functions.
