Raydar Collision Group Expands into Alberta

Bill Davidson, owner of Raydar Collision Group

June 15, 2026 — Raydar Collision Group has expanded into Alberta with the acquisition of four CARSTAR collision repair facilities: CARSTAR Calgary Bowness, CARSTAR McKnight, CARSTAR Lethbridge, and CARSTAR Medicine Hat.

The acquisition marks Raydar’s first move into Alberta and expands its growing network of CARSTAR locations across Western Canada. The company, led by Bill Davidson (above), operates multiple facilities throughout British Columbia.

The transaction also marks the retirement of several long-time Alberta operators. Patricia and Rob Fahey, former owners of CARSTAR Calgary Bowness and CARSTAR McKnight, helped establish Alberta’s first CARSTAR franchise more than 20 years ago. Bruce Hemstreet, former owner of CARSTAR Lethbridge and CARSTAR Medicine Hat, was among CARSTAR’s earliest corporate employees before becoming a multi-store owner and co-founding the Badlands CARSTAR Group.

“These locations have been built by people who care deeply about their customers, employees, and communities,” Davidson said. “We’re honoured to continue the legacy established by Patricia, Rob, and Bruce.”

Andrew Northrup, zone director of operations for CARSTAR Canada, said the departing owners played an important role in strengthening the CARSTAR network in Alberta.
