June 26, 2026 — More than 30 CARSTAR collision repair facilities across Canada raised more than $30,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada during the annual Walk to Make CF History, held May 31.
CARSTAR participated at 11 walk locations across the country, with franchise partners organizing fundraising activities, family events, and community engagement initiatives in support of cystic fibrosis research, care, and advocacy.
Among the participating locations were:
- CARSTAR Johnny K Group in Edmonton, which raised $3,250 through fundraising activities and hosted a tire-changing demonstration despite rainy weather.
- CARSTAR Rich’s Auto Collision in Campbell River, which provided refreshments for participants.
- CARSTAR Cambridge, which raised $3,675 while hosting a photo booth and raffle during the Kitchener walk.
- CARSTAR Scarborough Northeast, which raised $2,000 through a rock-themed fundraising event supporting the “Kiss CF Goodbye” initiative.
- CARSTAR Thunder Bay, which raised $3,400 through online fundraising and a community barbecue.
- CARSTAR Dartmouth, where the Centennial Group team and Zone Director Dave Meery supported participants with family activities.
- CARSTAR Raydar Collision Group, which participated in the Vancouver walk for the first time and addressed attendees from the main stage.
- CARSTAR Victoria, which contributed $1,000 while participating in the Vancouver Island walk.
- CARSTAR Manitoba Group, which organized children’s activities and hydration stations.
- CARSTAR Hamilton franchise partners Saputo Capital Group and Chavez Auto Group, which joined CARSTAR Canada staff in hosting children’s activities while recognizing the organization’s lifetime fundraising milestone of more than $6 million for cystic fibrosis initiatives.
