July 29, 2026 — CARSTAR recently hosted an estimator training session at the Don-Mor CARSTAR Collision Community Engagement Centre, located within the Humane Society London & Middlesex’s Old Oak Animal Campus.
The session brought together estimators from CARSTAR locations across the London, Ont., market for classroom instruction and practical estimating exercises focused on repair planning, estimate accuracy, and customer service.
The course was developed by CARSTAR area managers of operations Chris Massey and Kevin Buckwald to help estimators strengthen their technical knowledge and adapt to the increasing complexity of modern vehicle repairs.
“Estimators play a critical role in every customer repair journey,” said Chris Massey, area manager of operations for CARSTAR. “Their ability to properly assess damage, create accurate repair plans, and communicate effectively with customers and insurance partners is essential to delivering a seamless repair experience.”
Buckwald said ongoing training helps ensure estimators remain prepared to meet evolving industry requirements.
“Investing in ongoing estimator education helps ensure our teams remain confident, knowledgeable, and prepared for the evolving demands of the industry,” he said.
The event also supported the Humane Society London & Middlesex through Don-Mor CARSTAR Collision’s No Empty Bowls campaign. During the training session, the Don-Mor team donated pet supplies to the organization’s Pet Food Bank, which provides assistance to pet owners and families in need throughout the community.
The Don-Mor CARSTAR Collision Community Engagement Centre is located within the Humane Society’s Old Oak Animal Campus and reflects the collision centre’s ongoing support of local animal welfare initiatives. In addition to the No Empty Bowls campaign, the team is raising funds for the Humane Society’s annual Tails on Trails fundraiser, which supports shelter operations, veterinary care, and animal adoption programs.
CARSTAR said the training session reflects its continued investment in employee development while supporting the communities in which its independently owned collision repair centres operate.
