SEMA Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Inductees
May 29, 2026 – The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) has announced the four inductees for its 2026 Hall of Fame class.
Doug Dwyer, Jay Leno, Ellen McKoy, and Dennis Overholser will be recognized during the SEMA Leaders & Legends Gala scheduled for July 24 in Newport Beach, Calif.
SEMA said the Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the automotive specialty-equipment industry.
“These four individuals have poured their time, talent, and passion into building this industry,” said SEMA CEO Mike Spagnola in a statement.
Dwyer was recognized for his decades-long career in the wheels, tires, and motorsports sectors, as well as his volunteer leadership within SEMA councils and programs.
Leno, television host and automotive enthusiast, was honoured for promoting automotive culture through media, industry advocacy, and his support of California’s collector vehicle legislation known as “Leno’s Law.”
McKoy was recognized for nearly 50 years of leadership in the aftermarket industry, including her role in founding the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network and helping develop the SEMA Professional Restylers Organization.
Overholser, founder of Painless Performance Products, was honoured for his contributions to automotive wiring technology, industry volunteerism, and legislative advocacy.
