New courses in diagnostics, blueprinting, and glue pull repair, along with live welding demonstrations and an ADAS display, highlight the organization’s focus on developing collision repair skills.
SEMA Nov. 3, 2026 — I-CAR is bringing new training opportunities, technical demonstrations, and industry expertise to the 2026 SEMA Show, with an emphasis on helping collision repair professionals address increasingly complex vehicle technologies and repair requirements.
The organization is exhibiting at booth 33139 in the Upper South Hall, where attendees can explore an ADAS-equipped display vehicle, meet with technical experts, and learn about workforce development and professional recognition programs. I-CAR will also continue its ADAS and calibration outreach at AAPEX, booth V7308.
“There’s more to know in collision repair than ever before, and the stakes are high because ultimately this work is about driver and passenger safety,” said Kyle Thompson, president and CEO of I-CAR. He said the organization’s SEMA program provides practical education and helps professionals prepare for the industry’s changing technical and business demands.
New courses address evolving repair requirements
I-CAR’s SEMA education program includes three new courses covering diagnostics and scan tools, blueprinting, and glue pull repair (GPR). The additions address areas of growing importance as vehicle technology and repair procedures become more sophisticated.
Returning courses include ADAS calibration requirements and considerations, as well as GMA/MIG welding fundamentals and advanced techniques.
Courses are delivered in classrooms S224 and S225, with opportunities for attendees to apply what they learn through live welding demonstrations on the show floor.
Participants completing I-CAR’s welding courses can take their classroom instruction to the demonstrations, where they can practise techniques with guidance from an I-CAR welding expert.
ADAS display highlights growing vehicle complexity
A vehicle displayed near the SEMA Collision Repair Stage features identified ADAS sensors throughout, illustrating how extensively these technologies are integrated into modern vehicles.
The display is intended to encourage discussion about identifying affected systems, understanding vehicle-specific calibration requirements, and recognizing how collision repairs can influence the operation of safety technologies.
I-CAR experts will continue these discussions at AAPEX, where the organization is focusing on ADAS and calibration requirements across the broader automotive repair community.
Technical expertise and workforce development
I-CAR representatives are also available at booth 33139 to discuss training, workforce development, and professional recognition programs, including Gold Class and Platinum recognition.
The organization will participate in expert-led presentations at the SEMA Collision Repair Stage, booth 32145, covering technical and operational issues affecting collision repair businesses.
As vehicle technology continues to evolve, I-CAR says it remains focused on providing repair professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to complete safe, quality repairs.
