New SEMA Show Program Aims to Help Women Succeed in the Automotive Aftermarket

The world's largest display of new automotive aftermarket products is around the corner. The annual SEMA Show will take place in Las Vegas from October 31 to November 3, 2023.

This renowned trade show, dating back to 1967, continues to be a beacon of innovation for automotive specialty equipment manufacturers. It’s a platform where these manufacturers, both large and small, come together to exhibit their groundbreaking products alongside automotive industry giants, connecting with buyers from around the globe.

As attendees gear up for this year’s event, they can anticipate a treasure trove of automotive accessories, from performance adjustments to cutting-edge safety tools. But the SEMA Show is more than just a giant marketplace, it also provides education and networking opportunities. With a robust lineup of education seminars covering various aspects of the industry, such as product training and new vehicle technology, attendees will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and industry connections.

This year, there are many new events and elements to look forward to that will be making their debut. Over 400 new exhibitors have signed on to the show, which brings the total number of exhibitors up to 2,200. SEMA has also revamped its educational events and seminars, moving them to Monday, October 30, before the opening of the SEMA Show. This will give exhibitors greater access to these educational resources. Attendees will also get a chance to explore the artistic side of automobiles at the Art Walk, access special high-tech equipment at the SEMA garage, and explore the future of mobility in the rebranded SEMA EV and Future Propulsion area.

Following the SEMA Show, the automotive celebration continues with the inaugural SEMA Fest from November 3 to 4. This consumer-facing event invites the public to celebrate their passion for car culture, music, and craft food.

One of the notable additions to the SEMA Show is a new program that hopes to help women advance in the automotive aftermarket. The SEMA Women in Automotive Symposium, with support from the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network (SBN), is an initiative aimed at providing attendees with the resources to succeed in the industry.

The program includes mentoring, professional development, and networking opportunities that will help women navigate the automotive aftermarket. Women attending the program can expect an opening keynote, a networking luncheon, a learning workshop, and a discussion panel, all lead by experienced and knowledgeable women. The program is designed to be both a source of empowerment for women in the industry and a toolbox for achieving their career goals.

The 2023 SEMA Women in Automotive Symposium is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. This program promises to be a game-changer for women in the automotive aftermarket, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and connections to drive their careers to new heights.
